Alyson Avenue - 2000 Presence Of Mind
Let me paint you a picture. Imagine if you will, a female vocalist who is cross between Tone Norum and Marie Fredriksson (Roxette), fronting a melodic rock band who sound like 220 Volt (circa 'Eye To Eye'). If you can visualise that, then you have Alyson Avenue.

Alyson Avenue - 2004 Omega
Back in 2000, Swedish AORsters Alyson Avenue released a superb female fronted effort called 'Presence Of Mind'. 2004 effort 'Omega' struggles to maintain the good work.

Alyson Avenue - 2011 Changes
Good to see Niclas and the team back in 2011. They do happen to take lengthy interludes between albums, and considering the band has been on/off now for the best part of three decades, any recorded music from Alyson Avenue is better than none.

Olzon, Anette - 2014 Shine
Much has been written and said about Anette Olzon's departure from Finnish supergroup Nightwish. That was a few years ago, and written into a past chapter, says the Swedish singer. She'll want us to focus on the future, and in early 2014, that means her first solo CD 'Shine'.

Second Heat - 2004 Second Heat
This Swedish band are linked at the hip to AORsters Alyson Avenue. Only the female vocals of Anette Blyckert are missing; replaced by one Thomas Bursell. The rest of the band is essentially the same. The band opting for a sound that isn't a million miles away from Germans Frontline or Evidence One.
